STaRLink eBike

Overview

The STaRLink eBike was designed to comply with motorcycle limits of power consumption. The unit’s overall power drain is extremely low while keeping the modem in an active state, thus providing communication with the unit. Automatic storage mode will activate a “sleep mode” (reduced power consumption) with a self wake-up mechanism triggered from events such as movement/tilt/shock and ignition-on. The eBike allows a wide range of services, from basic tracking thru i/o monitoring, full AVL supervision, emergency services and security applications.

The STaRLink eBike optional components:

STaRLink tracking, a device incorporated with a built-in internal 433.92Mhz receiver, movement and shock sensors
proximity/manual remote-control allowing a hands-free operation (1 or 2 buttons)
Piezo Siren (different types)
engine kill relay
hazard light (turn signals) relay

The eBike enables 2 modes of operation:

CallerID mode: using a cell phone to SMS messages or RING (if caller ID is enabled)
proximity/manual remote-control mode: using the equipped remote control.

Once installed, the default mode is PASSIVE: the device is armed automatically when the ignition switch is turned “off”, (considering the Proximity keyfobs are out of range).

In ARM mode, a movement, shock or ignition “on” events will activate the siren and the turn signals (if connected) and launch/page a message to the server as well as SMS message to the m/c owner.
