Pay As You Drive & eCall applications

Mainly refer to Telematics Based Pay As You Drive (PAYD), Car Insurance System. The PAYD concept works on three main parameters on a top level:

The system is a GPS/GSM based module (STaRLink AVL) that uses track and trace technology to decipher tariff for the route traveled.

Other telematics features are available for advanced services and particularly to assist the driver during emergency situations. This includes the CANALOG box that records X Y Z acceleration for crash detection and analysis (BalckBox EDR) as well as real time CANBUS alerts (rule automation), a 2 way voice channel (eCall compliance) with a SOS button for Call-Me-Back requests: enables a verbal conversations between the call center and the driver in crisis situations.
